Start with how you will use it
A home for a growing family, a finished villa, and a plot you plan to build on later are three different decisions. Each one weighs location, size and condition differently.
- Who will live in or use the property, and for how long
- Whether you need it ready now or can wait for construction
- How much maintenance you are willing to manage yourself
- Your realistic budget including registration and transfer costs
Know your non-negotiables
List three or four things the property must have, and treat everything else as secondary. This keeps you from being swayed by cosmetic features that are easy to change later.
Visit at different times
Traffic, street noise, lighting and neighbourhood activity can change significantly between a weekday morning and a Sunday evening. Visit more than once before forming a view.
